(MDCHCA)
Presents in-person construction management training for business owners. Understand subcontracting dynamics in Washington, D.C.'s commercial construction industry. Join a Certificate program featuring eleven three-hour sessions and a Roundtable Panel with key industry players. Enhance your skills in business structure, risk management, bidding, and more.
Participants will benefit from eleven engaging three-hour sessions, culminating in a Roundtable Panel with top commercial builders. The construction management training includes seminars on business structure, finance, safety, and marketing to empower business owners.
The Certificate program will include seminars on business structure, finance and administration, risk management, insurance and bonding, contract review, estimation and bidding, training and safety, marketing and business development, and an assessment panel.
Training instructors have been selected from experts in the field, including the most successful professionals from over a dozen large construction and construction-related corporations, as well as members of our Board of Directors, all highly successful businesspersons.
PROGRAM SCHEDULE

The seminars will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. on ten consecutive Tuesdays this summer, with a final graduation session on the Thursday during the last week of training.

Participants should be prepared to attend all sessions to receive their certificate.

Fall sessions will take place thru mid-Sept thru Nov
COST
There will be a minimal fee of $200.00 to cover the costs of refreshments and food. Participants are responsible for having their own transportation.

Eligibility for this Program
This training course is limited to 15-20 business owners who are members of the Association or intend to become members. In some cases, business owners can recommend key management/personnel to apply for the program and can commit to attending all sessions on behalf of the company they represent.
We are looking for companies that meet one of the following:

Certified Business Enterprise (CBE) or
-
Have an office in DC or
-
Currently licensed to do work in DC and/or doing work in the District

Would like to do work in the District and willing to obtain proper DC contractor licenses

Size of Companies
If you are a business with three years of experience and revenues over $500K in the Construction Industry, this is a great program for you to get your business to the next level!
We will consider business on a case-by-case basis. We are looking for business owners with the drive and motivation to learn and grow along with some of the top professionals in the Construction Industry.
